41. I have been a bridesmaid in one wedding (shout out to Jordan and Coleman!).
42. I think Whataburger ketchup is the best ketchup EVER.
43. The only shoes I consistently wear out and have to re-buy are my black Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers.
44. I like rainy weather.
45. Not including the United States, I have been to 15 countries.
46. I want to be an ex-pat.
47. I subscribe to Lucky, InStyle, This Old House, Time, and Paste.
48. I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.
49. Braveheart was the first movie that ever made me cry.

31. The title of my thesis is, “The Bride Abandoned: Rape as a Weapon of War and the Church in the Former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, and Sudan.”
32. I haven’t had a bona fide crush since my sophomore year of college. Sad.
33. I’m a grammatical snob, but I can admit when I make grammatical errors.
34. I knit.
35. I had an imaginary friend when I was younger called Kristie. She had black hair.
36. My Flossie sisters are my sisters for life.
37. My favorite lyric from a song is, “You and me, babe. How ’bout it?” If you know what song it is, bonus points for you.
38. One day I will learn how to play the cello.
39. I had a solo in my high school musical. I still don’t know what possessed me to even try out.
40. Words of affirmation is my primary love language, with physical touch running a semi-close second.

21. I am the oldest of three children, and look nothing like my brother and sister.
22. I currently have two tattoos. There will be more.
23. My ears are pierced a total of seven times.
24. After a lifetime of being a doormat, I now know how to stand up for myself. Thank you, counseling.
25. I once owned a cat named Calliope that may, in fact, have been Satan.
26. I am an INFJ. A lot.
27. I would rather have a shot than take a pill. For this reason (and others), I will never do hard drugs.
28. The look on Ryan Richardson’s face when I said I’d give it up for the lead singer of Snow Patrol is one of my favorite memories from Rwanda.
29. I have a “yes list.” I think you know what that means.

11. My first car was a bright blue VW bug named Vern.
12. I was a Baylor homecoming queen nominee my senior year of college.
13. I am a 4th generation Baylor grad.
14. I love naps.
15. The worst line I’ve ever gotten from a guy is, “Yeah, I thought about us dating … but it didn’t work out in my head.”
16. I am part of the 1/3 of the American female population that likes men with facial hair – full beards, to be exact.
17. I was the first person to survive the wooden penis demonstration and HIV/AIDS talk with Rosemary in Kenya. I know my status.
18. I cannot, even when drugged, sleep on airplanes.
19. The Brothers K by David James Duncan is my favorite book.
20. Watching Hotel Rwanda while sitting in Hotel Des Milles Collines in Kigali (aka the actual Hotel Rwanda) was one of the most profound moments of my life.

In the spirit of Kristen and Joell’s recent posts, over the next couple of weeks I’ll be giving you some insight into the person that is me. Today, I give you 1-10. Enjoy.
1. I had seven major changes as an undergrad.
2. At 5’9”, I am the shortest person in my immediate family. At 6’8”, my brother is the tallest.
3. My BFF is one Suzanne R. Holsomback.
4. I was a nanny on Long Island for a little under a year. I hated it.
5. I have an unhealthy love for Diet Coke.
6. White Christmas is possibly my favorite movie of all time.
7. At one time in my life, I could do the jump splits. No, really.
8. I played the bassoon for 2 years.
9. I make the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever eat. Ask anyone.
10. I have been overseas at least once a year since I was 16.
